Description
This pattern is for our crochet shawl "Barbara". It can be crocheted with our 3- or 4-ply Bobbel in any size.
The shawl is very opaque and, due to the post stitches, quite a "yarn eater", making it excellent for using up Bobbels with a long yardage.
For orientation:
With a 4-ply Bobbel with 1,500 m yardage, you get a shawl about 1.30 m wide and about 0.60 m deep.
With a 3-ply Bobbel with 2,000 m yardage, you get a shawl about 1.50 m wide and about 0.73 m deep.
For the example shown, we used a 3-ply, 2,000 m Bobbel from the "Wintersonne" special edition in standard winding.
Required knowledge:
- Chain stitch (ch)
- Single crochet (sc)
- Double crochet (dc)
- Front post double crochet (fpdc)
- Back post double crochet (bpdc)
- Slip stitch (sl st)
The pattern is explained in text. It also contains a sketch that explains the construction and the crochet chart of the individual "patches".
