the fiber is "superwash" treated, therefore it can be easily washed in the washing machine at 40 C° on a gentle cycle, the sock yarn does not felt.
"superwash" means that the wool is made felt-free by chemical processes. The scales of the wool are partially detached and thus prevented from snagging (= felting). In addition, the fiber is protected by a wash-resistant film.
