Anchor stranded cotton is a 6-strand embroidery thread made from premium extra-long Egyptian cotton fibres. Each of these 6 individual threads is double-twisted. The practical presentation of the skein allows for easy removal of the desired length of embroidery thread without having to completely unwind the skein.
Thanks to its flexible thread division, Anchor stranded cotton is the most widely used embroidery thread with many applications in almost all embroidery techniques. Ideally suited for cross-stitch on fabrics of varying densities, but also for colourful embroidery, canvas work and other counted embroideries.
This yarn achieves its special lustre, intense light reflection and unique softness through the long Egyptian cotton fibres and a double mercerisation process. Anchor stranded cotton is available in 8m skeins in 463 beautiful solid colours (washable at 95 degrees).
